SONG THAT MADE US WHAT WE ARE TODAY
Recorded during: Mother’s Milk sessions
Length: 12:56
Performers: Flea (bass), John Frusciante (guitar), Chad Smith (drums)
Never played live.
NOTES:
A long, meandering instrumental song that shifts between different sections, and even reprises riffs from a few early Chili Peppers tracks, such as “Green Heaven,” “Freaky Styley,” and “Mommy, Where’s Daddy?” (hence the name)
Judging from the awkward edit-point at 10:09, the song may have originally been even longer.
It is listed as a demo on the 2003 remaster, but according to Michael Beinhorn, the song was recorded during the album sessions proper.
