NOTES:

This song dates back to a pre-Chili Peppers band that John, D.H. Peligro and a bass player named Robert Hayes were in. When John and D.H. joined the Chili Peppers in 1988 they brought this song with them, though Chad plays on the final recording.

At virtually every live performance from early 1989, the song began with a bass solo that isn’t present in the studio recording. It’s not known if that was done to make the song easier to play live or if it is something that was actually done in-studio and then edited out before its release.
